a SEXUALLY safe and healthy society

We champion the protection of children against destructive and unhealthy sexual influences and behaviours.

"It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." -Frederick Douglas

OUR GOAL

We are committed to continuous, far-reaching and long lasting social investment in the lives and future of children by reaching one million children and one million parents annually, with our message, wherever they are, in terms of quality program and project delivery, quality related support services, and free life empowering literatures and souvenirs.

Sexually, it could be a better and a safer world for children and the adults they grow up to be! But this is only possible if parents, guardians, caregivers and governments honestly understand the impact and ramifications of child sexual abuse, rape, pornography, early sexual activities, sexually transmitted diseases, unhealthy view of sexuality, and sexual identity crises on children, and the domino effects of these risks on the family and the society, in the immediate, medium and long term periods. If they do, they will appreciate timely healthy sexuality teachings or child sex education, as it is popularly known.

OUR VISION

We believe no individual should suffer the damaging effects of destructive and unhealthy sexual influences and behaviors. Hence, we exist to champion the cause of a sexually safe and healthy society for the family and its members, and most especially for children.

OUR MISSION

To equip and empower children, parents, guardians, childcare givers and the general society with appropriate safe and healthy sexuality education so as to prevent child sexual abuse, and lack of healthy sexuality knowledge and the resultant ills, through advocacy, educational awareness, grassroots campaign, counseling, training and free publications.

OUR CORE VALUES

The Familyhood Foundation stands for love, care, safety, security, change, power, justice, transformation and interdependence
